OMD UK Meeting Rooms
Bespoke solutions for a suite of client facing meeting rooms
Trifle* returned to media agency OMD UK in 2015 to redesign and refresh their client facing meeting rooms. Following on from an extremely successful refurbishment of their reception area and ground floor office in 2013, the meeting room overhaul was the first phase of a much bigger project that completed in 2017.
Each meeting space was assessed for usage and capacity and then designed for optimum layout and completed with new furnishings and feature lighting as well as a mixture of vintage and bespoke accessories.
Contemporary meeting rooms designed to be fit for purpose
The amazing Grade 2 crescent-shaped building near Tottenham Court Road in central London offered both a wonderful canvas and a challenging collection of rooms full of irregular angles. In order to assess how best to use each space we spent time observing meetings so we could understand what functionality was missing from the rooms and design a bespoke solution for each of them.
Some rooms leant themselves to an informal lounge setting, while others demanded a more standard table and chairs. One tiny snug room simply housed two wingback armchairs and a library style wallpaper.
Unique design for functionality and form
OMD UK named their meeting rooms after rooms in the home as a connection to the consumer audiences of their clients. We used those names as inspiration for the style of rooms and added relevant props and accessories.
We worked with a primary colour palette mixed with natural ply and other materials that added warmth and texture to each room. The rooms were equipped with the tools and materials needed for creative sessions and ideation workshops.
